March 6

Module 1: Interviewing and Selection

Participants will:

  • Recognize the advantages of behavioral interviewing techniques

  • Create behavioral-based interview questions

  • Describe legal and illegal interview components

  • Identify best practices for interviewing and selection

Module 2: Managing and Improving Employee Performance

Participants will:

  • Identify and describe the three phases of performance management

  • Apply practical strategies for using staff feedback to support performance improvement

  • Develop clear, measurable performance expectations aligned with organizational goals

  • Differentiate between coaching for development and addressing performance concerns

Module 3: Coaching and Progressive Discipline

  • Apply dialogue tools to facilitate effective coaching conversations

  • Deliver clear, constructive feedback that supports accountability and growth

  • Utilize a structured framework for progressive discipline

  • Explain the importance of timely, objective documentation

Module 4: Employment Law Basics

Module 5: Finance & Budget Basics

Participants will:

  • Identify their role in financial management

  • Recognize financial management as a component of continuous performance improvement

  • Define key financial and budgeting terms

  • Analyze and interpret financial statements

  • Practice explaining budget variances

Module 6: Supervising Your Schedule — Strategies for Time Management

Participants will:

  • Identify barriers to effective time management

  • Apply prioritization and time management tools to balance competing demands

  • Implement meeting management strategies to lead efficient, outcome-driven meetings

  • Establish schedule boundaries

  • Identify well-being practices that support sustainable productivity
