Board and Management under stress: taking stock of Board effectiveness during COVID-19
Thursday, July 16, 2020, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM MDT
Category: Webinars

The need for flexibility and expedited decision-making during the coronavirus pandemic does not diminish the fiduciary duties of nonprofit and for profit boards of directors. In fact, the impact of fiduciary oversight may become of heightened import when organizations are under the extreme challenge of pandemic patient management, employment disruption, adjusted regulatory requirements, and sanitation demands. Reasonable responses to patient, family and regulatory demands, in light of the pandemic circumstances, continue to be at the forefront of emergency response.  What changes should be made in board oversight, if any, to respond to these stresses?  In this webinar, we will review Colorado's board fiduciary duties, identify specific areas of stress, consider how to adjust board oversight, and offer suggestions for effective board-management communications during this challenging time.
