Repayment Agreements for HUD Properties

This course is designed to help staff identify when a repayment agreement is needed and when they are not allowed. It will identify how to calculate amounts owed, the required contents of repayment agreements and how to enforce them. It will also discuss how the repayment agreement, and any associated payments towards it, are entered on the voucher.

• Learn how repayment agreements work in relation to the voucher

• Learn tips to help owners reduce the number of repayments agreements

Target Audience: 

Any staff who are involved with income verifications and calculations, staff that review of EIV discrepancies that identify improper subsidy payments, staff that collect payments from residents, and staff responsible for voucher processing.

Rhanda McKown - Director of Affordable Housing - LeadingAge Florida

Rhanda joins LeadingAge Florida from the North Tampa Housing Development Corporation where she served as a Local Contract Specialist. Rhanda has nearly 20 years of experience in various aspects of the housing industry and spent the last 15 years conducting Management and Occupancy Reviews (MOR) under the Performance Based Contract Administration (PBCA) contract in Florida.

Rhanda's prior housing industry experience includes having served as Director of the Affordable Housing Study Commission (AHSC), a group appointed by Florida’s Governor to research a variety of timely housing topics and propose recommendations for implementation each year in a comprehensive annual report, as well as previously working at LeadingAge Florida which is where she originally began her housing career.

Rhanda graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University and lives in Ocala with her 10-year-old daughter.
