LeadingAge Colorado’s Day on the Hill
LeadingAge Colorado's Day on the Hill scheduled for the morning of Wednesday, March 6, is an important opportunity to meet with your state legislators and advocate for the issues that matter to Colorado’s senior living and aging services providers. The Day is designed to provide you direct access to your legislators at Colorado’s State Capitol to ensure that you have the opportunity to make sure that the voice of senior living and aging services providers is heard by those making important policy decisions. Critical issues in play during the 2024 legislative session, include:
- Medicaid funding for skilled nursing centers, HCBS providers and PACE organizations
- Workplace violence plan requirements for health care facilities
- Landlord/tenant changes
- Affordable housing initiatives
8:00 a.m. Arrivals and Networking 8:15 a.m. Welcome & Introductions 8:20 a.m. Issues briefing & tips on how to talk to your legislators – Gayle Berry, LAC lobbyist 8:45 a.m. Session update - Rep. Lindsey Daugherty, Chair of House Health & Human Services Committee 9 a.m. - Noon House/Senate Sessions followed by meetings with your legislators
